Your Guide to Amateur Astronomy

Welcome to Amateur-Astronomy-Guide.com! If you are interested in amateur astronomy, you've come to the right place! The main goal of this "How to" website is to provide you with the most necessary information, and to guide you through your first steps. Here you can learn how to observe and photograph all major astronomical events. This field is so vast that neither website nor book can cover it entirely. That’s why I’ll do my best to share my almost 20 years of experience with you, and show you the basics as much as I can.

The purpose of this site is very simple - to give you all you need to know about the night sky that will help you enjoy your progress from the very beginning! Let’s not forget that having fun is the most important part of being an amateur astronomer!

Although this website is addressed mainly towards beginners, some very basic knowledge is required. I also think that even more advanced readers can benefit from it. Such readers could refresh their memories, or even find something new. Nevertheless, advanced materials will be included in some topics. I'm going to update the site and add new information as frequently as I’m able to.

I hope this website will be in great use to you, and bring you faster to your first observations and photographs. Have a good time with your new passion, and enjoy your journey to the deepest parts of the Universe!
